​I've been fascinated by Cornell Lab's Great Horned Owl bird cam on Skidaway Island near Savannah, Georgia. 

A sideline to the amazing development of the two owlets hatched earlier this month and "life in the nest" 75 feet above a golf course pond is the beautiful morning songbird sounds - a prevue of what we should be hearing here in the Upper Valley before too much longer...

And, here in the Thetford pinewoods, after a puzzling absence of almost 3 weeks, the Chickadees are back.  Brought along 4 Pine Siskins and a handsome Carolina Wren.  For awhile, the only birds at the feeder were a pair of Mourning Dove.
