A reminder that two important bird counts take place this weekend. They are the Cornell Lab's "Great Backyard Bird Count" that runs Friday, the 13th through Monday, the 16th and NH Audubon's "Backyard Winter Bird Survey" that takes place Saturday, the 14th and Sunday, the 15th. Both counts produce important information about the health of our overwintering bird population tracking species diversity and numbers of individuals. They do not require a big time commitment and can be conducted from the comfort of your home.
