Important Updates on RAPPORT Full Grants

What to expect:

  *   ​Effective March 16, 2015, RAPPORT grants will become mandatory for tracking, routing and approving all grant applications.
  *   RAPPORT tracking, internal routing, review and approval will be required for all sponsor types including federal, non-federal, foundations, private industry, state and government sponsors.
  *   Principal Investigators, Chairs, Deans and others will certify proposals on-line.
  *   Principal Investigators will interact with RAPPORT for each proposal at a minimum of two time points:

     *   Principal Investigators will complete certain data on the system including involvement of sensitive technology, export controlled technology and will answer questions concerning debarment
     *   Principal Investigators will certify that the proposal data and uploaded documents are final and correct

  *   RAPPORT Grants will continue to be the system for applying through grants.gov
  *   RAPPORT will be unavailable for several days during the transition (see schedule below).
  *   Proposals for deadlines between 3/12 and 3/17 must be submitted by no later than Thursday March 12.
  *   RAPPORT will be mandatory for all submissions to grants.gov (other than Fastlane). OSP will no longer accept Adobe forms if grants.gov is available.

Training Scheduled for Administrators

Audience:  The session will cover the new functionality available in Rapport Grants for submitting proposals to grants.gov, submitting proposals for all sponsors including federal, foundations, state and corporate sponsors. Effective March 17, 2015, RAPPORT grants will become mandatory for tracking, routing and approving all grant applications.   RAPPORT Grants will continue to be the system for applying through grants.gov.  We encourage grants managers, department administrators and other staff involved in supporting proposal development, routing, review and submission to attend one of these sessions.

Outage and Cutover Schedule:



March 9th

  *   ePRF (legacy) electronic routing form goes off-line
  *   Use temporary routing form for proposals due between 3/9-3/17 for non-Rapport submissions
  *   OSP will input proposal into Rapport



March 12th at 12pm to March 17th 9 am​

  *   RAPPORT unavailable for submitting system to system submission and creating proposals
  *   Proposals due between the 12th and the 17th must be submitted by March 12th 12pm
  *   Work with your OSP Grants Officer if you have questions or issues
  *   Continue to adhere to 2 and 7 day deadline



March 16th

  *   RAPPORT Grants goes back on-line
  *   Begin preparing ALL proposals in RAPPORT  for final submission grant deadlines on March 18th or after
  *   This includes new, competing renewals, resubmissions, revised, supplements
  *   ​This includes government, non-federal, foundations, state, and industry proposals



March 17th

  *   ​RAPPORT available for system to system submission for deadlines on March 17th or later.
