While ice fishing yesterday, a bald eagle "stole" 3 fish from the ice....from me. :o) Very quietly and very close to me this adult BE, unaffected by my presence, circled in and made the catch and carry up to a nearby pine... 2 perch and a smallmouth bass over the afternoon. In fact, we were happy to provide the meal for him (looked like a male by size, but who knows). It was a brilliant day on the lake.... spectacular! Glad to have the avian visitor.
