Happy Halloween!
Please talk a look at the events we have at DCAL nest week:
Health, Safety & Liability on FSPs & LSAs: What Faculty Directors Need to Know, 8:15am - 10:30am, Tuesday, November 4, 2014
Join new and experienced faculty program directors in an interactive session about some of the more challenging aspects associated with leading programs abroad — health, safety and liability. The
discussion will be led by professional staff from the Counseling & Human Development Office, Offices of General Counsel, the Dean of Undergraduate Students, Risk and Internal Controls Services and Off-Campus Programs. Participants will have an opportunity
to learn about best practices and policies, and they will also discuss Dartmouth case scenarios.
My Computer Ate My Data, Changed My Students' Grades and Stole My Money OR What all faculty need to know about securing their information, 12:00pm - 1:30pm, Tuesday, November 4, 2014
Information you store, analyze and transmit digitally is vitally important to your teaching, research, and scholarship. If unprotected, your computer is a gateway to thieves and hackers, who can access and modify research data, students' grades,
and other confidential items, or infect the network overall and limit everyone's access. Unauthorized access to information could also expose you or the College to financial and compliance risks. Protecting your information is easy. Learn how by attending
this seminar at DCAL.
Teaching with Technology (TWiT), 12:00pm - 1:30pm, Thursday, November 6, 2014
