Dear Festival Participant –

The big day is almost upon us. Here are a few more items that might be important and/

or useful.

For those of you who have not been to the New London Outing Club Indoor Facility, it is

on Cougar Lane, next to the Kearsarge Regional Elementary School. If you are coming

in on Main Street of New London, in the middle of town turn on to Pleasant Street. You

will see a sign for "Artisans" as well as our own "Festival" sign to guide you. A half block

later turn left on Cougar and you are there. Park anywhere.

We have arranged to have a warm-up and case storage room, straight ahead of you as

you enter the front door. You are welcome to use this. It will not be locked.

Please bring your own music stand. We will have some for your use but not enough to

go around.

Your band will have 15 minutes to set up. You can do this while the preceding band is

striking their stuff.

There will be a sound system for your use. You will not be introduced. Just start playing!

At the end of 30 minutes there will be a very large hook that will come out of the ceiling

and whisk the entire band away. : )

Don't forget to bring your CDs or other stuff for sale that might be of interest to others.

Also please have your own money box. We will have someone looking after the table

but we can't ask them to collect your money for you.

There will be lunch for sale (pizza, salads, drinks) available in the hallway. There are

also some very fine lunch restaurants within a few yards of the venue. Ask any native.

When the last band (Seacoast Wind Ensemble) is finished, start immediately to set up

for the massed bands. You cannot possibly sit in sections, so just set up where you can.

Some people may choose to stand in the back. I hope by now everyone has the right

arrangements of the three songs we are playing. Let me know immediately if this is not

true.

I look forward to another wonderful Festival. Thank you all for participating.
