Well, I think mine are definitely Grackles but exciting that they could start coming through soon! They disappeared into the mixed woods up behind, pausing for a few moments before continuing to move away through the woods. No evident wing bars. Smaller than a grackle in length. Tail not as broad either. Flight call, a single "check," seemed deeper than red-winged blackbird. Hidden in the trees, their eyes were not visible. I've had rusty blackbirds on the home property and neighborhood before. > > Blake Allison > > Lyme, NH 03768-3322 > > **************************************************************** To post messages, send e-mail to: [log in to unmask] Set your e-mail application to PLAIN TEXT ONLY to post messages.
