In version 13:

To display a different background for the selected
portal row:
1. Double-click the portal to display the Portal
Setup dialog box.
2. Select Use active row state, then click OK.
3. Click Inspector Inspector button, then click
Appearance.
4. From the object type drop-down list (the first
drop-down list in the Appearance tab), choose
Portal: Row.
5. From the object state drop-down list (the
second drop-down list), choose Active.
6. Choose a fill for the portal row background.

Maybe 12 has this too?

Check it out.

Best,
Laura

Hi

Is there a way to highlight a portal row?

Using FMP12 Windows.

In list view, I have always used a OnRecordLoad
script trigger to store the
active record ID, and then used conditional
formatting to fill a background
field - this works well but not in a portal?

Any ideas or pointers appreciated.

Peter
