Hi everyone,

I like this idea - the more we perform different music under different conductors, the better we become!  It is expensive for a weekend, but it's NOT expensive given the fact that it's an educational and musical experience as well as a weekend away.  I would go along as an observer, but would expect to pay the full fee so I can sit in on all the rehearsals.  I had thought about playing, but if I'm playing, I can't really focus on the conducting the way I'd like to.

Anyway...I look forward to hearing what the rest of you think!

Hi Band Members,

I've been working on putting together a package with transportation for the Lake Placid band festival in November. I cannot get any more of a  discount than the early bird price as advertised in the festival flyer. So, as it stands, the cost for the festival would be $164 pp for a double occupancy room including 2 breakfasts and 1 buffet dinner. There is also a $120 charge for participating in the festival and the bus would be $85 pp based on 40 people. Total as it stands is $369. Obviously we could carpool and that brings the total down to $284. Please note, non performing guests pay a $40 festival fee.

Please think about it and let me know if we are interested on Monday. I know it's expensive but working with Col Gabriel was an amazing experience.

Thanks,

Teresa
