Greetings from Central New York! I hope everyone is enjoying spring finally being here!

After many years, our faculty have requested a code-free VHS deck. While this may be (or have been) a staple in many language centers, we never had one as faculty only brought us NTSC VHS tapes in the past. Now they’re looking to also bring different regionally encoded tapes.

As we all know, VHS is beyond ancient at this point, which makes finding new decks practically impossible. We’ve looked everywhere and seem to not be able to do it, aside from purchasing one from eBay.

I’m emailing LLTI today to ask if any of you may know of where we could procure a new or gently used region free VHS deck. I’d rather buy from folks who do what we do rather than some individual across the internet who may sell us a device that has problems.

Thanks for your time!
