A walk up the northern end of River Rd. at midday on Monday produced a single turkey vulture circling overhead near the road's junction with NH Rt. 10, a grackle and seven red-winged blackbirds at a feeder, three American tree sparrows foraging in some roadside scrub and three American robins winging across a pasture. Also seen: one hairy woodpecker, ten black-capped chickadees, two tufted titmice, 12 blue jays, six American crows and a dark-eyed junco.
