Good news is that OPO and FO&M are now working on both getting the temperatures up in the gym (it's been *cold* down there) -- and also they addressing the jammed key-box issue.
Not only was cold exterior air blasting under the gym door, but apparently the heating/ventilating mechanism was not set up properly for cold-weather use.
