Be careful what you ask for. I had a vociferous male Pileated attack my house repeatedly in northern Florida doing no little damage to the siding. I guess it was all hormones as I couldn't find any bugs in the cedar wood and he probably saw himself in the house windows. After shooing him away over a week he took on my VW van out in the pole barn and pecked out both side view mirrors.
Perhaps a Cracker subspecies?
Good luck,

We have had a very vocal and active pair of Pileated Woodpeckers around our house and road. Last Sunday, the male was eating berries in a bush next to our driveway. I hope they stay for the Christmas Bird Count.
