Hi,  Žorvaršur

Out of curiosity I've checked, among my applications, how many take advantage, or don't, of text substitution. This is the result:

Do: 1Password.app, Alfred 2.app, Bento.app, Calendar.app, Contacts.app, eMaps.app, iKey.app, Mail.app, Notes.app, Reminders.app, Safari.app, Skype.app, Textedit, Textexpander.

Don't: Find Any File.app, Firefox, iWorks (keynote, numbers, pages), Stickies, Yojimbo. (Surprisingly [?] none of Apple's iWorks.)

I'm afraid I don't get the point.

Do you mean that typing "aaa" (3 times “a”) in the Replace column, and then the whole alphabet in the With column, you get all the alphabet just typing "aaa" on TextEdit, but not on Nisus Pro?

Yes exactly. -- I forgot, that we can send screen shots to the list. Below you should see a screen shot:

If this is what you mean, then I succeeded on TextEdit (and Mail.app) but NOT on Nisus Pro (nor on Pages).

That means, YOU CONFIRMED WHAT I SAID.  This means, in other words, that Nisus can not take advantage of the text substitution provided by Mac OS X. -- I’m now thinking, is this a bug in Nisus?

Yet, Nisus Pro has a system of it own.

Yes, I know that, and much more powerful. I absolutely love the Glossary-feature.

I noticed something strange today. If you go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Language & Text [that's how it's called in Lion] > Text

a text substitution table appears, where you can create your own auto-corrections. Thus typing "aaa" will give me the whole Icelandic alphabet:
a, į, b, d, š, e, é, f, g, h, i, ķ, j, k, l, m, n, o, ó, p, r, s, t, u, ś, v, x, y, ż, ž, ę, ö

The problem is, that this does not seem to work in Nisus. This works as expected in TextEdit. I just don't know, if this has always been like that, or whether this is an indication, that something is broken by me.

Could somebody be so kind and check this for me.
Thanks.
