Three seen this morning while re-positioning a water depth measuring gauge at the boat launch. One flew over heading south about 9:30. Twenty minutes later, two more flew in from the north and circled overhead before one put down in tall reeds about 30 yards away from the boat launch. The other disappeared toward Little Post Pond. 

George Clark said he observed an American bittern yesterday morning in the same general area, and there were several reports in April and May of a one being seen along Clay Brook in the nearby Chaffee Wildlife Sanctuary.
