Male American Kestrel hovering repeatedly over the fields on north side of
Quail John Road in Thetford late this morning. I don't know what he nailed
when he finally dove but appeared to be enjoying it on a wire across the
field.

Minutes earlier, a red-tailed hawk wheeling over the same field,
eventually harassed into the woods by a single very agile crow. Turning
and swerving the way it did, was easy to see why they are called
"red-tailed". Beautiful.
