In the Connecticut River near the mouth of the Ompomanoosuc River as  
seen this morning around 11 AM from the Norwich, VT, side was a female  
Black Scoter. There were also, farther north in that vicinity, 11 Ring- 
billed Gulls.

Other birds in the northeastern part of Norwich this morning included  
16 Green-winged Teal at Pompy and at least 25 American Pipits and an  
American Tree Sparrow at Campbell Flats.
