Would you be interested in teaching a course about birds and/or
birding for ILEAD next spring? ILEAD (Institute for Lifelong Education at
Dartmouth), as you may know, is a Dartmouth program of non-academic, non-
credit courses offered to residents of the greater Upper Valley and members
of the Dartmouth community. The courses are taught by volunteer study
leaders who choose the topics, prepare lesson plans, select any teaching
materials, and encourage participants to ask questions and discuss any
issues that arise in class. The classes typically meet once a week for 7-8
weeks. They may consist of classroom sessions and/or field trips.

Courses about birds and birding have proved to be popular, so
ILEAD is looking for one or two people to lead such a course next spring
(March 18 through May 10, 2013). If you would like to be considered as a
teacher for it, please send your name, address, phone number, email
address, a title and a brief description of your proposed course, and a
brief biography to: Lisa King, ILEAD Program Coordinator, <

chosen as the study leader, you will be asked for additional information
about the course you have in mind. To learn more about ILEAD and its
