An upcoming event at the Howe Library in Hanover, NH, might be of interest to New Hampshire Audubon Mascoma Chapter members and others.

In
honor of the 75th anniversary of the Appalachian Trail, Howe and the
Hanover and Norwich Friends of the Appalachian Trail are sponsoring a
talk by wilderness photographer Jerry Monkman on Thursday, September 27
at 7 pm at Howe Library. In “White Mountain Wilderness,” Mr. Monkman
will tell the story of the "re-wilding" of the White Mountains through
historic archive photos matched with present day images; next, he will
share some of his (absolutely stunning) images of the White Mountains'
most dramatic landscapes, including scenes from the Appalachian Trail.
