There were about one dozen White-crowned Sparrows eating dandelion seeds in the housing development between CRREL and the Ray School. There were also Black-throated Green Warblers, White-throated Sparrows, Blue-headed Vireos, Red-eyed Vireos, and a Warbling Vireo.

Then there were two Ruby-crowned Kinglets singing along the entrance road to Storrs Pond. They were accompanied by a pair of Brown Creepers and a Red-breasted Nuthatch.

Not bad for noontime birding.
