Yellow-bellied Sapsucker at suet this morning! What a weird winter. No resident flock of chickadees; I've only seen 4 at one time and hear the "Sweetie" call more than the "Chickadee" call. Flock of 20 Cedar Waxwings yesterday, feeding on crabapples. Otherwise: Most numerous - blue jays, mourning doves and juncos One pair of hairy and downy woodpeckers Occasional purple finch and goldfinches White-breasted nuthatch A few days ago I hear a robin in my yard; a week ago I saw a flock of robins in Lyme and a friend in Lyme reported a pair of bluebirds in her yard. I guess expect the unexpected this winter. Peg Ackerson Lyme Center
