Dear THDW,

Your post is of a good deal of interest to me, as a retired teacher of Southern American literature and history.
I appreciate the jiu-jitsu of reversing one's master's name.So many U.S. slaves took their masters' names after emancipation, and many others chose patriotic names like Washington and Lincoln. But I've not heard of any U.S. slaves taking reversed spelling names.

And as to your P.S., I am frustrated with Lion, although I can’t say I hate it. I wait hopefully for OS X 10.7.2 and iCloud. For weeks now, MobileMe has been refusing my password, so whenever I open iCal I get a pop-up screen asking me to login again. I'm hoping that the changeover from Mobile Me to iCloud will take care of that, but I don't appreciate being inconvenienced this long.
