Hello, The past couple of weeks have been wonderful for watching
birds in my backyard. I sent out a couple of pictures to Audubon
questioning a couple of birds and found out that I had a female yellow-
bellied sapsucker, a yellow-rumped warbler, a Carolina Wren. Since
finding out this information I have seen 2 male yellow-bellied
sapsuckers too. Also sighted were 2 male purple finches and 4 females
who are visiting the feeder regularly, a small group of Evening
Grossbeaks, a male and 2 female White Throated sparrows, Chipping
sparrows, a few male goldfinches, a male Rose-breasted Grossbeak,
Black-capped chickadees, juncos, cowbirds, grackles, red-winged
blackbirds, blue jays, robins and a Merlin flew overhead yesterday. I am
having such a great time and I don't even have to leave my own yard.
The yellow-bellied sapsuckers are very amusing. They are pecking on
everything includng my outside camera and my grill. Enjoy this
wonderful weather. Anne
