Sorry, I wasn’t clear. Each field contains completely different text, in ‘proper’ or word case. I need to replace each field with the same text, but in ‘sentence’ case, i.e. first character of each line (after the bullet) is a cap, rest is lower case.

In Quark or InDesign, I could select ‘sentence case’ but Filemaker only allows Upper, Lower and Proper.

      Emma,

I am thinking “Replace Field Contents” will work for you. Let me know if I am understanding you.

Assuming you have two fields to change in the selected records:

Do a find for only the records to be changed.
Type the corrected text in the field (the one you want to change) .
Leave your cursor in the field to be changed.
Then do a “Replace Field Contents” .

Go to the second field to be changed.
Type the corrected text.
Leave your cursor in that field.
Then do a “Replace Field Contents” again .

Regards, Melissa
