We have had a flock of 7-8 turkeys, one male, the rest female, visiting our yard daily for several weeks. Some days they hang out for hours, eating the sunflower and thistle seeds from under the bird feeders where the smaller birds have dropped them. Yesterday while snowshoeing up the hill behind our house I found them roosting in the trees where one by one they flew out in front of me. Quite the sight!
