At home today: probably the best flock I have ever seen here, in terms of number and concentration of birds; reminiscent of birding in Peruvian rainforest. After finding the flock I followed it for about an hour, and was seeing new birds the whole time. Many numbers below are probably low; I estimated there were more than 100 birds present. Species highlights were the Philadelphia Vireo, Swainson's Thrush, and Lincoln's Sparrow. Great birding! Spencer Hardy, Norwich Observation date: 9/16/09 Notes: mostly cloudy, cool.
