The last of the spring birdwalks of the Hanover Conservation Council visited old Dana Road and the road and trail toward the towers on Moose Mountain this morning. Eight birders enjoyed a pretty morning and a good variety of birds, some just heard but quite a few that at least some got views of as well. We did miss one target bird, Wilson's Snipe, usually a regular here but it didn't show (or call) today. Thanks to all who came, and a special thanks to Pip Richens for helping with the list. - Tom Mallard Great Blue Heron Mourning Dove Ruby-throated Hummingbird Yellow-bellied Sapsucker Alder Flycatcher Least Flycatcher Wastern Phoebe Eastern Kingbird Red-eyed Vireo Blue Jay American Crow Common Raven Barn Swallow Black-capped Chicadee Red-breasted Nuthatch Winter Wren Hermit Thrush American Robin Gray Catbird Yellow Warbler Chestnut-sided Warbler Black-throated Blue Warbler Black-throated Green Warbler Ovenbird Common Yellowthroat Song Sparrow Rose-breasted Grosbeak Bobolink Red-winged Blackbird **************************************************************** To post messages, send e-mail to: [log in to unmask] Set your e-mail application to PLAIN TEXT ONLY to post messages.
