Sunday afternoon my husband saw an owl sitting precariously in our lilac bush. By the time I could get to the window it was gone. He may have tried to catch a red squirrel that had been nearby on the ground. I've been watching the trees at the edge of the woods since. I'm sure it is hungry. Had 2 White Breasted Nuthatches in my large maple this PM. Many B C Chickadees 10-12 A. Tree Sparrows 5 M. Doves Too Many Blue Jays They were around but quiet when the Owl landed.
