Sunday afternoon my husband saw an owl sitting precariously in our lilac bush.  By the time I could get to the window it was gone.  He may have tried to catch a red squirrel that had been nearby on the ground.
    I've been watching the trees at the edge of the woods since.  I'm sure it is hungry.
    Had 2 White Breasted Nuthatches in my large maple this PM.
    Many B C Chickadees 
    10-12 A. Tree Sparrows
    5 M. Doves
    Too Many Blue Jays  They were around but quiet when         the Owl landed.
    Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers
    Missing:
         M. Turkey and Finches and Red Breasted Nuthatch
    
    J. Langevin
    Enfield Center
