Center for Language Study is seeking a Foreign Language Resource Specialist to act as a liaison to language faculty and other clients, which includes offering specialized instructional and technical support to foreign language faculty, and serving as a trainer and consultant to foreign language faculty in the areas of language instruction and foreign language technology. The Specialist will participate in implementation of a range of programs for faculty and students, and provide information and advice to Yale students about foreign language study, including language study within current university programs as well as innovative approaches, such as independent study, study abroad, and life-long learning. The Specialist will be a member of the Center of Language Study (CLS) Teaching, Learning, and Research group and report to me as the Assistant Director in charge of that group. Note that minimum required education/experience is a Master?s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: Master?s degree or Ph.D. in a related field, such as Computer Assisted Language Learning, Instructional Technology, Foreign Language Instruction, or Second Language Acquisition, plus two years related work experience.
