>Subject: Hanover-Norwich CBC results Greetings hardy observers and would-be-observers if the weather had cooperated: At long last, here is a compilation of the results of the Hanover-Norwich Christmas Bird Count, held on that icy New Year's Day, 2007. Only two record counts this year (Carolina Wren & Cooper's Hawk), but respectable numbers of the regular species none-the-less. The weather probably led to missed goldeneye and shrike; the northern finches simply stayed to our north where the good cone crops are. Sincere thanks to all -- we hope to see you again next year, along with everyone else trapped at home by icy roads this year.
