Although all specializations are welcome, the Department has a particular interest in Russian expansion and Russian interactions with non-Russians. Applicants should have the Ph.D. degree, or be in the final stages of the Ph.D. program, by the start of appointment. Candidates will be expected to participate in graduate and undergraduate teaching, offering surveys as well as more specialized courses, and to conduct independent research.
