We are looking at designing a log-in feature for our labs, and we know for sure that we can create an executable with PowerBuilder that will log a student in and keep a database of the times. However, we are wondering about two things. Can we keep the database on the server so that ultimately students could download the executable file at home and still log in and have it access the database? Is there a way that Powerbuilder can be made to keep track of the activities of the computer. (i.e. default log-off when the computer goes into screen saver mode, keep track of websites visited, etc?) Does anyone have a suggestion of another tool that might be able to do these things? Thanks!
