We have Centurion on our network, which is great. Upon reboot of a single system, the system is restored to its original state. Disadvantage: there's a key to turn to disable it when you want to install new hardware (if you have a tower on the floor, this can be a bit of a pain). We have also tried Fortres in our department. It's so tight students can't navigate and I can't troubleshoot. I prefer Centurion. > -----Original Message----- > From: LLTI-Editor [SMTP:[log in to unmask]] > Sent: Monday, November 13, 2000 7:59 AM > To: [log in to unmask] > Subject: #5815 Security > > --- Forwarded Message from "Mary Ohno" <[log in to unmask]> --- > > >From: "Mary Ohno" <[log in to unmask]> > >To: [log in to unmask] > >Subject: Security, etc. > >Date: Fri, 10 Nov 2000 15:05:53 GMT > > Regarding security, is there a good system to prevent students from > making changes (i.e., dragging things to the trash, putting things in safe > > mode, altering the toolbars, start menu, etc.) to the workstations?
