Since the lab is a service department directly tied to the conduction of classes, we are not open during major holidays. While I may come and go during these times, I generally take the entire time off {several weeks at Christmas, all of Spring Break, and as I can, time between intersessions}. This is not a problem with my administration, and is often encouraged! I'm a "recovering workaholic" :) so I've developed an appreciation for time away. Hope this information helps. Cheers-- Phade :) --------------------------------- At 08:36 AM 4/14/00 -0400, you wrote: >I would like to know how many of lab (multimedia center) directors are: >1) on a 9 month contract >2) on a 12 month contract >3) HAVE TO BE ON CAMPUS during the various breaks: Spring break, and the >various intersessions -between spring semester and may semester, btween may >semester and summer semester, etc... > >Thank you for responding. > >fatima >[log in to unmask] > >Dr. Fatima Chajia, Director >Foreign Language Laboratories >Southern University and A&M >Baton Rouge, LA 70813 >(225) 771-3030 >______________________________________________________ >Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com > Phade Orion Vader, Director Language Learning Laboratory & Resource Center Texas Tech University Lubbock, Texas USA 806.742.3151
