So much of our media is mired in gloom and doom–and don't get us wrong, there's a lot to be wary of when it comes to our fight for a just, livable future in the face of intensifying injustices and climate change. But, there's also SO much good work being done, too, that rarely gets highlighted, and we're here to begin to change that.
On March 21st, the Biden administration introduced strict emissions standards for cars, encouraging a shift to electric vehicles. The new Environmental Protection Agency rule aims to significantly cut carbon emissions from vehicles by 2055, avoiding up to 2,500 premature deaths annually.
Despite a slight slowdown in EV sales, 2023 saw a record 1.2 million EVs sold in the U.S., signaling strong market growth.
