I am a physician-scientist at Harvard, and I was hoping you could including the posting below in any pre-med opportunity announcements that you send out. Let me know if there is anything else that you need!

 

Dr. Elizabeth Rossin, assistant professor of ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School Department of Ophthalmology, is looking for a research assistant to fulfill a paid full-time year-round position within the Ocular Genomics Institute at Mass Eye and Ear. Dr. Rossin’s lab is interested in the genetics of inherited eye diseases. Candidates should be motivated individuals who have completed their undergraduate training in or before 2024, are interested in science and/or medicine and have a strong academic record. Responsibilities include assistance with a large patient recruitment effort for retinal disease, including approaching patients, coordinating blood draws and DNA extraction, organizing study recruitment data and materials, as well as analyses of clinical and genetic data for publication. We welcome people taking time off before medical or graduate school and will have ample opportunities to shadow in both the clinic and operating room as well as contribute to or lead projects for publication, depending on the candidate's interest level.
