The Center for Social Impact is hosting a two-day conference titled β€œ Breaking the Mold: A Conference on Careers for the Common Good” that takes place tomorrow and Friday! One event we would like to highlight is the dinner and networking event tomorrow with alumni working in the social impact space. They still have about 15 seats left. It’s a good time with delicious food and an opportunity to meet some pretty fantastic alums, including Dr. Dan Lucey (see bio below).

 

You do have to register in advance (it takes <30 seconds). Come meet some great folks and plug into a good community 😊.

Breaking the Mold: A Conference on Careers for the Common Good

 

Breaking the Mold is a 2-day conference hosted by the Dartmouth Center for Social Impact on November 2nd and 3rd for students interested in exploring careers in the social impact space. Connect with distinguished alumni and dive deep into specific social impact themes!

Meet Dan Lucey ’77 at Breaking the Mold!

Daniel Lucey is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine, Infectious Disease adjunct Professor at Georgetown Medical Center, and a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America Global Health Committee. He served as a volunteer to outbreaks overseas including Ebola patient care in Sierra Leone and Liberia (Doctors without Borders) 2014, MERS 2013, SARS 2003, as well as HIV, H5N1, Zika, yellow Fever, and pneumonic plague 2017 (with WHO/USAID/CDC). He helped design the content for the 2018-2022 Smithsonian Exhibition on Epidemics due to zoonotic viruses. He trained at UC San Francisco and Harvard.
