Subject: April 4 & 5 Career Events Open to Dartmouth Undergrads (Public Health Careers Panel & MD Conversation on Digital Therapeutics)

To celebrate National Public Health Week, we are offering two events next week that are open to all Dartmouth undergraduate and graduate students. We would appreciate any publicity that you can provide. (There is a huge amount of regulatory and policy work to be done in the emerging field of digital therapeutics, which may be of interest to students.)

Flyers for both are attached.

Let us know if you have any additional questions. We would appreciate any publicity you can provide.

Best,
Chandlee

Digital Therapeutics are evidence-based therapeutic interventions driven by software programs to prevent, manage, or treat a medical disorder or disease. Projected to become a $57B industry, digital therapeutics have the potential to treat conditions with the phone in your pocket!

Join us for a casual conversation with Dr. Audrey Kern MD, Senior Global Medical Director for Pear Therapeutics, the first prescription digital therapeutic company to win FDA approval for treating addiction with an app. Dr. Kern is an Emergency Medicine and Addiction Medicine physician, with experience that includes serving patients on military bases and working as a faculty member in Psychiatry at Dartmouth's Geisel School of Medicine. Dr. Kern will share lessons learned during her career, as well as the range of roles required to develop, test, validate and bring digital therapeutics to market - from clinical research and public policy to data analytics, software programming and quality assurance.

Co-sponsored by the Biotechnology Club and The Dartmouth Institute.
