Hi All,

DHMC has a fantastic program of speakers who give what are called, Ground Rounds, where experts come to share some of their knowledge.  These programs are open to all and can be attended remotely.

 

NEXT WEEK, special guest Dr. Shawn Hervey-Jumper, Neurosurgeon at UC San Francisco, will be speaking at DHMC next TUESDAY 3/14 12:00-1:00pm.   If you are here in person, lunch is also served (first come first served).  You can also watch it remotely (link below).

He is a neurosurgeon researcher with a clinical practice focused on the surgical management of patients with brain cancer within functional areas using physiological mapping. In his research laboratory he seeks to understand how brain tumor cells influence functional circuits and cognition. His ultimate goal is to better understand the mechanisms of cognitive impairments thereby leading to novel treatment options focused on improving network recovery and therefore cognitive outcomes for patients.
