Hi Folks!

Just wanted to remind you of the Nathan Smith Society message from Dr. Witters about the Winter Term Shadowing program!  There are several action steps involved and all must be done in a timely fashion--including attending the Winter term Shadowing Orientation mtg--so keep your ears/eyes out for that announcement! Its usually pretty early in the term!

Warm wishes,

Your HPP crew

Looking forward to the winter term, the Nathan Smith Society will present an updated DHMC shadowing program with an amended roster of participating physicians & other health care professionals, accompanied by a REQUIRED orientation meeting for all and a NEW lottery for slots.

In addition, ALL students who want to shadow in the 2022-2023 year are REQUIRED to update their immunization records-OK if you already did in Fall unless you need to add updates (but no carryover from the 2021-2022 academic year records).  This is accomplished by BOTH

To NOTE re immunizations:

You may want to accomplish all or some of these things while home during the break (Dick's House gets quite busy in January which could delay any necessary appointments for immunizations and, thus, any shadowing).  If you complete at home, bring that documentation with you and either drop it off at Dick's House or e-mail to [log in to unmask] so that they can be added to your Dick’s House records PRIOR to your submissions to NSS, so that this record is up-to-date.

Looking forward to the continuation of this valuable program in the coming winter term.  Happy Holidays to all!

Dr. Lee Witters, NSS faculty advisor, for the Nathan Smith Society Executive Committee
