The
Center for Global Health Equity (CGHE) Summer Internship Program
Dartmouth’s Center
for Global Health Equity (CGHE) Summer Internship Program enables students to apply learning from coursework to real-world challenges while exploring career paths in global health. Past
interns have contributed to Ebola response efforts at the CDC, HIV and TB research in Tanzania, and community resiliency planning work in disaster-prone communities in Peru.
Program
Overview
- CGHE
works with Dartmouth’s global health partners to create summer internship opportunities for Dartmouth students (undergrad and MED).
- CGHE
selects students, provides training prior to the internship, and offers support both during and after the internship.
- All
internships are fully funded.
- Internships
include a spring fieldwork seminar followed by a term-long internship (10 weeks for undergraduates) with the partner organization.

Requirements
- The
Internship Program is open to current
undergraduate and medical students.
- Candidates
must be available for a fieldwork seminar held on April 3-4 in the spring preceding the internship and must have one term in residence remaining at Dartmouth following the internship.
- Some
opportunities require advance preparation and skills, including language ability.
