Come on out to a film screening of I Am Jane Doe on Tuesday November 14 at 7pm in Loew Auditorium (in BVAC). The film chronicles the incredible battle that several American mothers wage on behalf of their middle-school daughters, victims of sex-trafficking, against Backpage.com. Featuring Senators McCaskill, Portman, and McCain -- the legal thriller demonstrates the unusual bipartisan effort being made to change the legislation that protects websites that sell minors for sex. After the screening, The director and creator of the film - Mary Mazzio - will lead a discussion panel with Professor Eric Edmonds, Professor Sonu Bedi, and Dartmouth’s Title IX coordinator, Allison O’Connell. It should be both an informative and extremely powerful evening - come join!
