What: Carter Traverse!!! (attempt 2) When: 8:00 PM Friday - 8:00 PM Saurday Why: Probably the coolest hike CnT ever runs! We will stay the night at billings cabin, then wake up early to hike over 6 beautiful 4,000 footers along a ~10 mile ridge. Level: 5. Very Strenuous. The hike is 19 difficult miles. For safety reasons, you must have previous hiking experience and you must be physically fit to sign up. The leaders reserve the right to refuse you a spot on the trip if you are not prepared. What: Hiking Mount Ascutney!

When: Saturday 9am-4pm

Why: This may be one of the last weekends with great foliage! Come on this trip for an awesome hike with a fire-tower at the summit and spectacular views of Vermont and the Upper Valley. Level (1-5): (2) Moderate, 7 mile hike. We'll make occasional stops to saw fallen trees, dig out ditches, and fix other problems with the trail. No experience necessary. Get outside while it's still fall! Please also send any dietary restrictions and any gear you want to borrow (for free) for the trip. Your spot will be reserved once you pay.  If the trip is free, just blitz the leader to reserve a spot. Financial aid is available for DOC members if the trip costs more than $10.
