The American Health Care Act (AHCA) is going to the Senate. So we're going to kick it up a notch.
COME TO NOVACK THIS WEEK! College Dems will be tabling and will be able to connect you with your elected officials. Call your Senator and tell them not to vote for the bill. Call someone else's Senator. Call every Senator. Call a Representative and let them have it. We'll have the numbers and the script - all you have to do is bring your opinions.
Why should you fight against this bill? Well, AHCA kicks 24 million people off of their healthcare. It defunds Planned Parenthood. It would allow insurance companies to refuse coverage based on 240 pre-existing conditions, including depression, anxiety, pregnancy, and asthma. It takes away funding for lower-income families to provide a massive tax cut for the wealthy. It increases the deficit. This bill is bad news. This isn't a Democratic or a Republican issue - people are literally going to die if this bill passes.
tl;dr roll through Novack this week and save healthcare and possibly the country.
