Climate Movement will march in Washington,
D.C.
“We will
march for our families. We will march for our air, our water, and our land. We will march for clean energy jobs and climate justice. We will march for our communities and the people we love.”

Here’s what the weekend will entail:

COST: Most
likely we will take minivans to D.C. Thus, we need drivers, and we need money. We anticipate the costs of this trip to be ~$30 per person. This would include transportation, parking, & food primarily. We are hoping to house students with Dartmouth Sustainability
alums & families living in D.C. The Sustainability Office has offered to subsidize this trip and we are also planning to apply to a couple funding sources to keep the cost as low as possible. Likely, we will ask students planning to come to pay a deposit in
advance of the trip and they will receive a portion of that deposit back once they come! If cost would stop you from coming to the March, still fill out our survey! Rosi and Jenna have committed to working with anyone interested in going to this event on making
it financially doable. We do not want cost to deter anyone from coming and making your voice heard!

TIME: This
is a two-day commitment. We
will leave early to mid-Friday afternoon, 4/28 and leave D.C. early evening on Saturday. We
will be back on campus very early on Sunday morning (2 or 3 A.M.).
Summary:
Friday leave
Hanover between 1-3 PM. Arrive in D.C. between 10-12 PM.
Saturday - March. Time
not specified yet however it is likely to be in the early afternoon.
Post March - come home. If the March goes until 4 PM (as did the last People’s Climate Movement March), then we will leave around
5 PM and get home in Hanover on Sunday between 2-3 AM.

the plan is to get housing at alums places in D.C. If you know of any alums in D.C. that you think we should contact, PLEASE contact us!
This March will be monumental -
over the past two weeks, it has been made clear that we need to make our voices heard on climate change and climate justice. Come to D.C. the weekend of April 29th so that you can speak
up about what matters to you!
