 Center for Service Opportunities:

  • Apply for SIBS!
    • Applications due Friday 9/30, 5 PM; Are you interested in becoming a role model for your future little sib? Love making connections in a one-on-one environment?   • SEAD Intern Interest Meeting
    • Tuesday 9/27, 4:30-5:30, Center for Service (South Fairbanks (white building to the right of Foco), 2nd floor). Come learn how you can join a cohort of Dartmouth students in a paid education internship with SEAD! Interns will receive free housing as well as a budget for activities with the SEAD students. Interns will learn first-hand about the disparities in our education system, as well as how ethnicity, race, gender identity, immigration status, religion, and socio-economic class impact educational opportunities for individuals and groups.   • Apply for a 17W DPCS Internship!
    • Applications due Wednesday, 10/12; Apply for winter-term internship funding with the Center for Service! Dartmouth Partners in Community Service (DPCS) provides funding up to $5000 for community internships with non-profit agencies. Visit our website to learn more and download the application.
  • SAVE THE DATE! Breaking the Mold: Careers in the Social Sector
    • October 20th-21st; Break the mold! Learn from accomplished professionals with diverse experiences in the nonprofit sector. Join  us for a social sector careers networking dinner and panel discussion on Thursday night and "Going Deep" workshops Friday afternoon! Community Connections:

  • Volunteer with Willing Hands!
    • There are a number of different opportunities to glean extra produce from farms around the Upper Valley to deliver to neighbors in need. Learn more and sign up on OrgSync!
  • Dismas Dinner
    • Tuesday 9/27, 4-7 PM, Dismas House, Hartford VT; Dinner is the centerpiece of the Dismas as residents, staff, and volunteers from the community come together as equals. As volunteers, you purchase the food and cook, and then join us for the community dinner. Sign up on OrgSync.
  • STAR Mentoring Meeting
    • Wednesday 9/28, 5:30PM, Lutheran Church, 5 Summer Street; Do you have a chronic health condition or physical disability that affects your life at Dartmouth? Join STAR Mentoring! STAR is a program of the Special Needs Support Center that allows Dartmouth students with chronic health issues to mentor teens from the Upper Valley with similar conditions.   • Learn How to Roof with COVER Home Repair!
    • Friday 9/30, 9 AM - 4 PM, Charlestown, NH; Help us help a neighbor get a new roof and stop the damage that leaking roofs can cause. Water damage can cause health problems and house disrepair. No experience necessary! Learn more and sign up on OrgSync.
  • Be a CHaD Hero!
