*Apply for the 2017 Palaeopitus Senior Delegation*

Palaeopitus has twenty-one members selected in their junior year on the basis of their demonstrated dedication to improving the College. Though Palaeopitus is classified as a senior society, membership is public knowledge, which allows us to have a significantly larger impact upon the campus in general. We also operate under the Dean of the College rather than ORL (unlike other senior societies), and so our membership can and often does overlap with other societies.

This year, Palaeopitus held weekly discussions with administrators, faculty, and staff in order to increase communication and transparency regarding issues that affect students. This year's delegation is also focusing on improving student-administrator interaction and encouraging conversations about race and diversity on campus. We have worked on smaller projects throughout the year, and hosted a town hall meeting with senior administrators to discuss the new diversity and inclusion plan.  Next term, we plan to host a campus-wide discussion about diversity and inclusion with the aim of fostering dialogue and empathy on campus through student stories and discussion groups. To learn more, read about our mission and history on our website.
