Interested in building professional skills?

Interested in the non-profit sector?

Want to do service (in the US or abroad)?

There is only 1 week left until the DPCS and International Internships funding deadline (up to $4000) for Winter 2016  interns, October 14 @ 4pm!

1) If you are seriously interested in applying for the winter and you're not sure where to start, schedule an appointment with us ASAP!

2) Stop by the 2nd floor of the Dartmouth Center of Service anytime to look at binders of organizations that past students have worked with (you're not limited to these, but it's a good place to get ideas!)

3) If you don't have an organization in mind, check out these three non-profits that our interns have worked with in the past:

*Drew Charter Schools in Atlanta, Georgia (EDUCATION)
-Offer academic support for elementary and middle school students.
-Coordinate extracurricular weekend activities.

* Sports for Sharing in Washington, DC

*Amy Biehl Foundation in South Africa (YOUTH EMPOWERMENT)
-Assist in a number of core educational areas, including music, drama, sports, art, and English.

-Work in conjunction with the organization's Relations/Events Manager.

*Boston Center for Refugee Health and Human Rights in Boston, Massachusetts (HEALTH/HUMAN RIGHTS)
-Work to increase health literacy and decrease health disparity within defined, at-risk population.
-Interview patients and refugees to assess the efficiency of the program.

Again, there is only 1 week left until the application deadline, but it is still not too late to find an internship for the spring and apply! Funding is available every term.
