What: The Sununu Project is a program that was founded by four Geisel School of Medicine medical students. The goal of this project is to empower incarcerated youth at Sununu by providing them with learning strategies and tips that would help them obtain their GEDs.
Who: Seeking enthusiastic, committed individuals who want to be part of the leadership of the Sununu Project.
Where: Sununu Youth Development at 1566 River Road, Manchester, NH (http://www.dhhs.state.nh.us/djjs/institutional/). Money for transportation and/or transportation itself provided.
 Time commitment:
1. Turn in volunteer paperwork (there is a $10 application fee.  Our faculty advisor, Dr. Lee Witters has offered to subsidize this for up to 20 undergrads/Geisel students who are currently receiving financial aid).
2. Attend training session on campus (2 hours) this coming Sunday (see below)
WHAT: GED course teacher training - how to run an effective classroom
WHERE: Remsen 326 at Geisel [Enter front door of med school, turn left down hall]
WHEN: Sunday September 20th, 5-7pm (please be on time!)

3. Attend orientation at Sununu and shadow a class (4 hours including commute)
4. Once per month teaching in pairs at Sununu (4 hours including commute)
