Queerness in the African Diaspora:
How to write a novel about a black British gay man who has been in the closet for 60 years, with Bernardine Evaristo

This program is a presentation by award-winning British author, editor and literary critic for the Guardian,  Bernardine Evaristo, who  is currently the Montgomery Fellow at Dartmouth College. She has recently published a gay novel Mr. Loverman, which is currently a contender for the USA Ferro-Grumley Award for LGBT Fiction. The program will include a reading from Mr Loverman and a follow-up discussion where Evaristo will talk about the process of writing a black, male homosexual septuagenarian.?
